Pic Unique designs and sets up styled proposal picnics across Charleston, Summerville and the Lowcountry. We arrive before you do, build the whole thing, and leave. You walk her down to the water and it's already waiting.

How a proposal booking works

You tell us the date, the spot, and roughly what you're imagining. If you don't have a location, we'll suggest a few — we know which ones are quiet on a Tuesday evening and which are packed.

We plan around the moment, not just the picnic. Where you'll walk in from. Where a photographer could stand without being seen. Which direction the light falls at the hour you've chosen.

We set up before you arrive and leave the site. Nobody is hovering.

We come back afterwards and pack it all down — usually once you've gone, so you're never watching us fold chairs during the best hour of your life.

Choosing the moment

A few things worth knowing, learned the hard way:

Light matters more than location. The hour before sunset makes almost any spot beautiful, and it's the difference between good photos and extraordinary ones. Tell us your date and we'll tell you what time to be there.

Quieter is better. The most photogenic spot in Charleston is not worth it if there are forty people behind you. We'd rather put you somewhere slightly less famous and completely private.

Have a weather plan. Lowcountry weather turns fast. We'll talk through a backup — a covered porch, a different evening — before the day, not on it.

Think about after. Are you calling family? Meeting friends for a drink? Is anyone hiding in the bushes with a camera? Worth deciding in advance.

Where people propose around Charleston

Beaches, waterfront parks, gardens, private docks, backyards and rented properties. Some spots are public land, and rules on setups, tents and commercial activity vary by park — Charleston County Parks asks for written approval for some activities, so we check permissions for your specific location before confirming. You don't have to work that out yourself.

What's included

A styled setup built for two: low table or blanket seating, linens, cushions, place settings, glassware, florals, and lighting or lanterns if you're going late. Delivery, full setup, and pack-down are always included.

Add a charcuterie board, sweet treats, a champagne setup, or a photographer introduction — we work with Charleston proposal photographers regularly and can put you in touch.

Booking

Proposal setups start from our engagement package. Book at least a week ahead, and considerably more between November and February — that's engagement season, when roughly half of all proposals happen, and Saturday evenings go first.
